Senior Full-Stack Developer - Remote

Proskida’s software, Protern.io, is used by elite level coaches and athletes in Europe and North America. Our software looks at training data in an entirely new way, giving athletes and coaches fast and easy access to insights that are not possible from the other services like Strava or TrainingPeaks.

Our first market is gravity driven sports like alpine ski racing, ski cross, and downhill mountain biking. We're working with some of the world's most accomplished cycling, running and cross-country skiing coaches and athletes to bring Protern.io to the endurance sport market.

Overview

As a senior full-stack developer, we would be looking to you to both design and develop scalable solutions, keeping a strong focus on application security, while bridging important communication gaps to enable us to ship faster, and better so that we can help the world's athletes improve faster.

Your Impact

  • You will lead the charge in architecting and implementing product features to hit our ambitious growth targets

  • Your leadership will enable our developers to improve the product and ship code faster

  • Proskida will look to you to define and refine internal systems around development, dev-ops, and QA

Who You Are

  • Strong experience in full-stack development

  • Deep knowledge of full-stack frameworks, such as Play!

  • Experienced with leading and mentoring product teams and have a proven track record of success

  • Excited by the challenges that come with a rapidly growing and scaling company, and have thrived in this kind of environment

  • A strong leader with the ability to set a vision for your team, and lead them to successful execution and delivery

  • Not afraid to stretch yourself outside of your comfort zone to take on new challenges, and have a love for continuous learning

  • Willingness to work with an Angular application

  • Are able to work in Canada

Our Core Technologies

Backend: Scala, Play!, Slick, PostgreSQL

Deployment/Infrastructure: Docker, Jenkins, AWS

Frontend: Angular8

You Will

  • Optimize dev-ops systems for local development and the cloud (AWS)

  • Streamline our server API and database interaction (Scala, Play!, Slick)

  • Design and implement database migrations for new features through strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and other database systems

Bonus Points

  • Experience in Angular and/or Scala

  • Agile workflow experience

  • Experience in the sport performance space

  • A strong passion for endurance and/or gravity sport

  • Previous experience scaling in a startup environment
